This paper is very thick-more like a paper bag rather than tissue paper thinness. It covered the existing paper without issue. I only wish that it was pre-pasted, which would have made DIY hanging a little easier. The paper colors were beautiful...a bright white background with iridescent owls and trees, along with that pop of accent color provided by the interspersed green leaves. The owls and the birch trees catch the light and shimmer, which injected reflected light into dark spaces. Just a glorious paper. We hung it in our cabin for a touch of whimsy, and I think it would be an excellent option for others who want to bring the outdoors inside. I have recommended it to others.
