Product Development Assistant
Brewster Home Fashions – a global home décor company specializing in wall décor for residential and commercial interiors has an immediate opening for a Product Development Operations Assistant for our wallpaper and DIY product cateorgies.
This is a great opportunity for an organized professional who is passionate about home decor to break into the industry. You will work closely with the product development, design, sales, and marketing teams to support bringing new DIY products and wallpaper collections to market. The ideal person for this position will be highly organized, able to shift quickly and handle competing priorities, and collaborate well with all involved stakeholders in the development process.
Core responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain organizational systems that will ensure that all deadlines are met in time for a product launch.
- Regularly review product development timelines to verify targets are being hit and follow up with stakeholders to obtain updates on target date changes or obstacles to the process.
- Track, receive, organize, and archive product samples as they arrive from various 3rd party vendors.
- Develop and maintain records of products sourced from vendors including pricing information, dimensions, and all other relevant product data for each wallpaper collection.
- Analyze and distribute best-seller data to the design team monthly to bring awareness to what products are performing best in the field.
- Coordinate all necessary product imagery with the design, layout, and graphics teams to ensure all images are completed timely for collection launches.
- Participate in collection layout and product development meetings regularly.
- Order product samples as needed from both internal and external sources.
- Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated proficiency in data management and analysis in Microsoft Excel in a business setting is required.
- Possess a sense of urgency and determination while continuing to accommodate the rapid changes in the product development lifecycle.
- High attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or another related field is preferred; equivalent experience in a professional setting in lieu of educational background is also accepted.
- 2 years in an administrative role within product development, sales or marketing is preferred.
- Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
